THAILAND | Bangkok’s Four Points by Sheraton, Comfort Rooms, and Popcorns
Saturday, May 23, 2015”They’ve got popcorns!” I joyfully exclaimed as we entered the lobby of Four Points by Sheraton in Bangkok. We came straight from Pattaya Beach by bus and we’re rarin’ to have a bit of rest time before exploring Thailand’s capital city once again. Seeing our eyes constantly drift towards the popcorn machine, one of the staff went towards us and started helping us to a serving each. Yum!

OUR ROOM FOR THREE DAYS, FOUR POINT’S COMFORT ROOM |
We were stuffing our mouths full with freshly popped popcorns as we strode across the shiny floors of Four Points, our bags trailing behind us, en route to our rooms. We can’t wait to lay down on the hotel’s trademarked Comfort Beds and sleep the afternoon away.

THE TOILET OPENS UP TO THE BEDROOM |
A Comfort Room with a king-sized bed was given to us, while our travel mates were set on a similar room, but with two twin-sized beds instead.
I know what you’re thinking. Comfort Rooms? Like toilets? Haha no, dummy! The term comfort room as toilets is possibly popular only in the Philippines. So when Four Points says they provided us with a Comfort Room, well, we’re expecting something that’s really, really comfortable.

WE HAVE A BATHTUB! |
I’m digging our room at first sight. From the chic, tastefully minimalistic decors, the swirling black carpet, the toilet and bath that can open up to the main room, and of course, the bed.
THE TRADEMARKED COMFORT BED |
According to the staff who brought us to our room, The Four Points by Sheraton Comfort Bed has a deluxe plush mattress with a nine-inch shock absorber foundation. Err… Okay well, here’s what I thought about it; as soon as I laid my backpack down and finished taking photos, I was sleeping like a baby right through the late afternoon.
THE EATERY’S MODERN AND FUNKY INTERIORS |
NOODLE SOUP FOR BREAKFAST! |
OUR DAILY DOSE OF CRISPY BACONS |
We stayed for three days at Four Points, our day usually starting out at The Eatery, the hotel’s in house restaurant where they serve the daily complimentary breakfast buffet. Food is quite good, always leaving us wishing we’d eaten less right after, since we’d usually head over to the pool after our meal.

THE ROOFTOP INFINITY BAR AND POOL |
The said infinity pool is located at the rooftop level of Four Points, several storeys above Bangkok City. Its blue waters look out over the jagged skyline of the metropolis and we’d always make it a point to drop by here, do laps and splash around, before the rest of the guests wake up.
FOUR POINT’S BEER VAULT |
Four Points by Sheraton also has a really nice bar with a really cool name, Beer Vault, located right near its lobby. Unfortunately, we were too busy spending our nights at Khao San Road that we entirely forgot to drink even a shot of alcohol here.
FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON IN BANGKOK |
All in all, we enjoyed the comfort of staying at Four Points, they indeed has one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever tried. I also like the fact that it’s located on one of the quieter streets of Bangkok, but is still quite accessible via the city’s many trains. Plus, yes, they have free popcorns.
