A day of toploading, whitewater rafting and bridge hunting can make any traveler crave for a soft bed to curl up on at the end of the day. Luckily, the Lakbay Norte team has the Las Palmas Hotel as the sponsor for the team’s second night of the Northern Luzon tour.
Although the hotel’s façade isn’t really that remarkable, its interiors in contrast are well decorated, warm and cozy. The rooms are spacious and tastefully done, the bathrooms are superb too! I totally dig their interiors, minimal yet not bare and cold like most modernist designs. But what I really liked about the hotel was their staff, very welcoming and helpful!

Before succumbing to the temptations of a soft bed, we had a few drinks at their bar and even had a Karaoke session with Ed, Gael and Marcos hitting them high notes. I let the guys do the singing and contented myself with my drink, jotting down notes from the day’s adventures.
The night ended with Edcel and Gael, running videos of travel bloggers doing funny things; like Angel dancing to the tune of Tira-Tira Dulce during his Hong Kong escapade with his friends; all my high respect for the author of Lakwatsero.com went out the window haha.
It was past midnight when we finally bade our goodnights. Las Palmas’ comfy rooms welcomed my tired body and I was asleep in no time.
