PUBLISHED | Gala Magazine’s Anniversary Travel Feature
Saturday, May 25, 2013Gala Magazine recently contacted me about doing a small feature for their anniversary issue. They probably saw my recent Zambales posts and went from there. I think they’re now tapping into the blogging industry as I also saw fellow travel bloggers M of Nomadic Experiences and C of Traveling Light on the contributor page.
I’ve been seeing this magazine around for a bit on billboards with prominent actors and actresses gracing its glossy cover, but I’ve really haven’t had a chance to take a peek on what’s inside. Heck, I didn’t even know how to pronounce Gala.
Well, according to them, Gala is a gateway to all things happenings. The term is interchangeable as an English noun as a festive event or a Filipino word as a wanderer. I prefer the latter.
I contributed a two-page article relating to the province of Zambales. Collating all my experiences all the way back from my college days when we did a kombi-run to the province where our van eventually broke down to my most recent trip to via the Zoobic Safari.
I love how they did the lay-out; big pictures yeah!
This is also the first time I contributed an article that includes a write-up. I usually just send in my photos but this time they let me write the words to go along with it.
Gala’s Anniversary Issue is still available at most bookstores for Php170.00. But if you don’t feel like going to the newsstands, I actually have a few spare copies left that I can raffle off if anyone’s interested. :)
