ZAMBALES | The Best Cabangan Beach Resorts

As of last count, there are no less than seventy accommodations available along Cabangan Beach in Zambales. Dotting the twelve-kilometer long beach, these stretch from the barangays of Mabanglit, Felmida Diaz, Arew, San Isidro, Sto. Nino, Camiing, Lomboy, and Laoag. And these range from bare camping grounds where you can pitch your tents for a fee, basic no-frills lodgings, boho-inspired accommodations, whole home rentals, rustic hut getaways, social hostels, and swanky beach resorts.
Name it, Cabangan probably has it now. This lesser known corner of Zambales has transformed from being a quiet, zero-tourist town to a now relatively busy beach town. I say relative, since Cabangan, for the most part, is still the quiet town I’ve known for more than a decade.
For those wanting visit, I compiled a list of eleven unique and interesting beach front resorts in Cabangan—the best resorts Cabangan has to offer, if I may say so myself.

A disclaimer, I haven’t personally stayed in any of these resorts--basing my info on their photos, websites, and Facebook pages. I will make a more detailed reviews of these resorts once I actually stayed on their premises.

A three-story beach resort with a minimalist façade, Waikoloa offers four hotel quality room types that can be booked separately on weekdays, and as a whole during the weekends. It has an infinity pool, gym, and an in-house restaurant exclusive for guests. They offer massage services, water activities (jetski, banana boat), and mountain bike tours and rental.

Located on a lush patch of land in between the sea and a river, El Paradiso De Club Monet is a rustic getaway in Cabangan Beach. It features three villas—one riverside and two beachfront—made with native materials like bamboo and cogon. It’s a sister resort of the more modern Club Monet Beach Front Resort.

JLS CABANGAN RESORT

JLS Cabangan Resort is one of the bigger resorts in Cabangan. Little is known about it—there seems to be zero info about it online. It’s said that this is a VIP only resort and guests are limited to the friends of the owner. I will update this once I know more.

BACKBURN BOUTIQUE HOSTEL CABANGAN

Backburn Boutique Hostel is the first and only hostel in the whole of Cabangan. The resort is characterized by bare concrete walls, unpainted wooden furnishings, and cogon roof. It offers four room types, but strangely enough for a backpacker hostel, they seem to have no dorm rooms as of the moment.

One of the most luxurious, if not the most luxurious, resorts in Cabangan Beach, Searenity Suites has six spacious suites—yes, suites not rooms. Three of these opens directly to the infinity pool while the other three opens to a private veranda. Besides its infinity pool, it has an in-house restaurant, a billiard hall, and beach cabanas.

The Piero Beach Resort is a minimalist boho-inspired accommodation in Cabangan Beach. Its elevated villas are made from repurposed shipping containers—each one with its own Jacuzzi on its porch. If there’s a contest for the most Instagrammable beach resort in Cabangan, this is probably it.

With its massive cogon-covered huts, Villa Seascape Zambales or O’Connor Beach Resort is definitely the most unique beach resort in the whole of Cabangan Beach. Like sentinels from a Tim Burton movie, these huts stands right beside the sea. Living accommodations seemed a bit cramped inside, but for the experience in staying here, I think it’s more than worth it.

Casa Lantali is a two-storey rentable duplex beach house in Cabangan. Like a real hous—which it is, by the way—both has a fully furnished living room, dining hall, working kitchen, and two bedrooms—all tastefully decorated and air-conditioned. Each unit can accommodate six to eight persons.

Secret Spot PH is a modernist beachfront resort in Cabangan. It features an almost deconstructivist façade. Its has six villas surrounding a pool area. Of these, it has three villa types—the premium one having its own beach cabana.

Maui’s Sunset Beach Resort is a whole resort rental in Cabangan that can accommodate up to twenty persons. The beach-side part of the resort looks real rustic, but its spacious loft-type villas are very modern—and in between these, they have a lap pool.

Jem’s Beach Resort is another whole house rental in Cabangan Beach. The main villa can accommodate up to twenty two persons. If you can’t rent out the whole beach house, you can opt to stay in their modern hut-inspired Sterling Rooms, Primus Cabins, and Open Huts. And oh, they have an infinity pool too.
