AKLAN | Two Seasons Boracay Lunch Review
Monday, May 29, 2023Two Seasons’ barLO Restaurant was filled to brimming, but we didn’t really mind waiting. The sun was out, and the water at Station 1 was uber calm. We braved the ungodly noontime hour, and with sunblock on, frolicked at Boracay’s White Beach with total abandon.

ABOUT TWO SEASONS BORACAY
Two Seasons Boracay is a boutique resort located at the Station 1 beachfront of Boracay White Beach. It’s a five-star rated property with 34 rooms and suites in a blend of tropical urban and Zen minimalist design—as they say so themselves. Small as their property, they were able to squeeze in a pool, which opens the rooms up to a central court, and a beachfront restaurant—the barLO Resto Lounge.
INSIDE TWO SEASONS BORACAY |
Two Seasons Boracay is actually one of three sister resorts. The other two are located in Coron—Two Seasons Coron Island in Malaroyroy Peninsula and Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel in Coron Town. I have actually stayed at the former, and it was such a luxurious experience—both the property and the food—that my excitement at visiting Two Seasons Boracay was quite high.
BARLO RESTO
The barLO Resto is Two Season’s trump card. Famous for its four cheese pizza and sizzling oyster sisig, it’s a popular dining destination at White Beach. So popular that when we arrived for lunch, it took almost an hour before we got seated. The restaurant doesn’t allow walk-ins to book ahead, being on a first come first serve basis. And in-house guests, have priority over walk-ins.
SUNSET FROM THE BORACAY WHITE BEACH |
It was alright though, as the beach was just a few steps away from the restaurant. We took the time to enjoy the clear blue sky and the calm waters of White Beach. It was actually one of the best weather we got for beaching in Station 1 for our whole three weeks in Boracay.

The restaurant is openly laid out along the beach—an open big hall with table and chairs, al fresco seats along the sand, and wooden cabanas for big groups. We chose to be seated on the open cabanas as we plan to have a long lunch that might probably stretch to dinner.
THE FOOD
Two Seasons’ barLO Resto serves Filipino and Western dishes. We went through their menu while waiting and advanced our orders. For appetizer, we went for their salpicao, gambas, fish and chips, and crispy fried squid tentacles. For the main dishes, we requested for their pancit canton, grilled steak fish, and of course, their best-sellers—oyster sisig and four cheese pizza. I personally ordered beef rendang, a personal fave which I always order whenever I see it on a menu.
Sauteed angus beef cubes topped with fried garlic and green pepper
Traditional style spicy shrimp bites
Deep fried fish in batter and French fries served with special house dipping sauce
Battered and deep fried squid tentacles served with vinegar dip
Stir-fried egg noodles with assorted seafood, vegetables, and oyster sauce
A delicious combination of blue, cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese
Grilled marinated steak fish with ensalada and served with rice
Fried oyster served with onions and black pepper
Malaysian beef curry with 12 spices cooked in coconut milk and served with rice
THE VERDICT
THE BEST OF TWO SEASONS BORACAY’S BARLO RESTO |
The hype about Two Seasons’ barLO Resto is well deserved. We actually enjoyed most, if not all, of the food we ordered. Their four cheese pizza and sizzling oyster sisig was so good, we actually ordered seconds. The beef rendang though, while also delicious, was actually a bit on the left field and didn’t really mesh well with the rest of our spread. So, apologies from me on that one. Their pancit canton was just okay.
TEAM RH AT TWO SEASONS BORACAY |
We had such a good experience—both from the food and the attentive service—that lunch turned into afternoon snack, and later, to a drinking session—yes, they have tons of alcohol, even our beer of choice, Red Horse—that lasted into late evening. We would’ve had dinner at Two Seasons too, if not for our filled to brimming tummies. Well, we actually left when it was already time to go—when barLO Resto closed down for the night.
